I have a subject to ponder and discuss!
I have seen cuttings in water grow leaves, but no roots! What would you do to this cutting, with a decent start on leaf development, but just 'nubbies' - no fibrous roots? How would you react? Do you feel moving it to soil would cause leaf drop? Would you add more rooting hormone? What do you think would cause this? Ucenter Dress prom apparels With Keyhole cut out
Roses often bloom in water as a cut flower, but this is a lack of root development with rooting hormone applied when the cutting is placed in water and hydrogen peroxide. It grows small leaves from a couple of nodes... thoughts? Has this happened to you? Have you witnessed this in a fellow gardener's set up?
This does happen! Please share thoughts, advice, and add your own questions!
